In June 1925, Werner Heisenberg traveled to the island of #Helgoland to formulate the mathematical foundations of #quantum mechanics. 100 years later, the leaders of the field are meeting again on Helgoland this week. Physicists from Innsbruck are part of it: quantum visionary Peter Zoller, quantum computer pioneer Rainer Blatt, quantum networker Tracy Northup and junior researchers Thomas Agrenius-Gustafsson, Johannes Fankhauser and Lukas Fiderer.

Warum ist die Raumzeit krumm? Eine künstlerische Reise durch Fragen der Physik
In einer performativen Ausstellung mit Elementen aus den Bereichen Musik, Projektion, Installation und experimenteller Videokunst wenden sich die Künstlerinnen einigen Fragen der Physik zu.
Zu den Themenbereichen Licht, Quanten und Gravitation möchten sie dazu einladen Fragen mit verschiedenen Sinnen zu erleben, sie zu untersuchen und über deren unterschiedlichste Erscheinungsformen zu staunen. Vielleicht entwickelt sich auch hier und da eine neue Frage.

📍 RAMPE - Coworking für Musiker*innen, Gerhardtstraße 3, 30167 Hannover
Der Einlass beginnt um 19 Uhr, die Eröffnung findet um 19:30 Uhr statt. Ab dann ist die performative Ausstellung ca. zwei Stunden geöffnet.

Die Vereinten Nationen haben 2025 als das internationale Quanten-Jahr ausgerufen. Für Lea Richtmann, Physikerin im Exzellenzcluster QuantumFrontiers, und die Künstlerin Miriam Ebbing willkommener Anlass für ein gemeinsames Projekt.
„Warum ist die Raumzeit krumm – Was du schon immer über (Quanten-)Physik wissen wolltest, aber nicht zu fragen wagtest.“
Sie wollen mit ihrem Team Wissenschaft und Kunst zusammenbringen, sich physikalischen Fragen einmal auf ganze andere Art – in einer künstlerischen Reise – nähern und Denkanstöße geben, um sich weiter mit diesen Themen zu befassen.
In zwei Aufführungen werden verschiedene physikalische Fragen im Fokus akustischer, optischer oder haptischer Kunstinstallationen stehen. Physikalische Vorkenntnisse sind nicht nötig.
