June 16, 2026 – PRL Day 2026

Hello, dear readers! It's PRL Day and we're happy to celebrate the 12th birthday of the Parallel Serials with you all! This year, the PRL Fonlands Saga is working it's way to the exciting, final conclusion as the heroes of the PRL multiverse join efforts to stop Une from consuming everything. It's been a real joy going back to the Hyperion universe that started it all and discussing the impact of the new threat in characters we've been writing for over a decade. The fun part of that is […]

The Divine Essence (2026 Annual) – Issue 3 –

Lorv is in the Shifting Planes with the Vodun Lêgba, and Catastrophe, Havoc, and Grief of the Death Witch Coven, and they all stand on a platform around the vase of eight purple Mysticisms. Lorv stares at them and just the sight sends her back into her memory when she and Wielar piloted her planet-sized ship, Top, and they discovered the planet Rycoia in what the ship had detected as a massive nebula. The view of the nebula was beautiful from a distance and it seemed that everyone on Top […]

Manual and Reference of the Fonlands – 2026 Annual – Issue 2 –

The Ajogun  In the early days of the Fonlands, a member of the Ajogun emerged from each Disc, including the underside of the Lofted Disc. Though the Ajogun were born from each Disc of the Fonlands, they settled primarily on the Disc of Lêgba and wielded Black, Transmogrification, magic that was common among the death dealers of the Fonlands at the time, before Death magic was explored and cultivated.  Many of the Ajogun worked with the Vodun’s underside twins in plots to overthrow them […]

Death Witch Coven (2026 Annual) – Issue 1 –

“You've been glued to that scrying portal for too long,” the Catastrophe Witch says to the Grief Witch. They are on the Disc of Deads and Wraiths in the haven of the Death Witch Coven known as the Witch Camp. All members of the Coven who had not traveled to the Une-verse to support Fâ, and the Decay Witch who assisted Sakpata in the Smiting Chamber, were in the Witch Camp preparing for the worst and waiting for any signal that their assistance was required.  “I can't help myself,” […]

Cotton-Wood (2026 Annual) – Issue 2 –

Long ago, the Luminary Nyame was angrier than she'd ever been, and Obatala watched her stomping across the golden grasses to the Golden Basilica on the Disc of Xêvioso where he served as a High Justice presiding over cases brought before him. Obatala had a large office space where he relaxed or reviewed case law between hearings, and he stood at the large window overlooking the area around the Golden Basilica, specifically at the field of grass below his window where Nyame was stomping. He […]

acɛ (2026 Annual) – Issue 2 –

“I still think benching all the Black magic users was a short-sighted move,” Lêgba says as he lounges in the large web of Aku. The daysource of the Disc has set and the only light is the glow of Aku’s web that is an eerie mix of black and gold. The web casts a significant glow over the Changing Desert nearest to the exterior of the Celestial Library where the web was spun. “You saw what happened in Talj,” Owuo says as he finishes the snack that Aku had offered him from her web, a […]

Bright Lives (2026 Annual) – Issue 2 –

Lorv was worried about what was coming. She was on the Disc of Agê preparing for the worst, when she felt a familiar feeling. It was accompanied by a distant, faraway sound that was easy to ignore, but once she heard it, she would hear it for hours. Eventually, she found Raius who was at the House of Agê that straddles the forest and jungle sides of the Disc.  “I have to leave for a while, will you be alright until I return?” she asked him as he oversaw the training of dwellers of the […]

Mmoatia s Greatest Hits (2026 Annual) – Issue 3

“That calabash isn't what you think it is,” a young Pultine said to a young Tracia. “Someone is using it to spy on you.” “That's nonsense,” Tracia said. They were in the hollow of a large tree where Tracia slept after leaving the northern jungle. The home she'd made in the hollow was impressive and large enough to accommodate many guests. The two mmoatia rested on what appeared to be a bed of moss in a room of the hollow that Tracia used for entertaining visitors. It was dark […]
