It is #ProposalWriting season <slog>; my title is “extreme precipitation for the continental us: local versus remote controls”-> it will evaluate extreme rainfall with the newest version of the nasa giss #climate model.
My dad— retired petroleum engineer in Houston— called me in the middle of writing to check in wrt the Florida flooding.
IS it #ClimateChange? It’s what all his friends are talking about.

phase."The Bad News: "and we would now ask you to submit an amendment in order to adapt your project scope and budget."
The Ugly News: "If you do not
reply to our requests or repeatedly miss deadlines, we will consider that you are no longer interested
in our grant (and reject your proposal)." -
I just attended a workshop on proposal writing for Horizon Europe (organized by the U Bremen Research Alliance, held by Seán McCarthy, http://www.hyperion.ie/fp9-proposal-websites.htm). Not sure if many people here are into this, but here’s what I took home. Thread:

Who’d have thought that coaching your PhD student who's writing her very first grant application means a combination of speed-skating coach shouting lap times *AND* marathon coach riding a bike to show up at various points along the course *AND* cheerleading all the way?
