You don’t realise how useful the “trim leading and trailing spaces from a form field before processing the value” behaviour is until you have to deal with user input in a system that doesn’t have it. My customer has entered product names, SKUs, URLs, and fuck knows what else with sporadic spaces, and, well, it doesn’t show up in the frontend so what’s the problem, right?

This poll brought to you by the 5+ hours I spent yesterday attempting to add a single line of code to a config file that ultimately did not even work. 😭 #ProgrammerProblems #GayFriendTVShow

@DavitMasia Absolutely love this! Anyone else find themselves squinting at their old code like it's ancient hieroglyphics? 😂 It's amazing to see how much we've grown as developers. Revisiting old projects really shows our progress and reminds us why clean code matters. Who else has had this moment? #Gamedev #Indiedev #CodingJourney #ProgrammerProblems

Me now: What *is* a day really?

Yesterday was feeling amazing and that I was getting better at finding the causes of my coding issues ✨.
Today feeling frustrated and like 💩bc that didn't fix it and now I'm not sure what the problem is. :blobcatcomfsob:

It was one of those days again.

I swear I do actually enjoy this line of work 😂

It's awkward when I'm using something I made and I have to complain to myself when it doesn't work.
Well, essentially I'm complaining to my future self who might be more able than me to solve the problems.
