The naming of a “mature asset” strategy (instead of a clean-up strategy) for the Alberta government is classic PR spin - a wolf in sheep’s clothing.
It takes an accounting concept and uses it to suggest the government is somehow responsible for ensuring profits for the fossil fuel industry.
And many Albertans are seeing through it.
