  1. Some doves and a warbler that were passing through my yard this weekend. #pigeon #warbler

  2. While definitely one of the more absurd things I've done (and that's saying something) -- this was immensely satisfying to watch happen, and, in a weird way, a nice reassurance that even with all of the network centralization over the years, you can still treat the internet like the internet.

  7. I was able to do use my PHY to exchange packets with the internet and no one was any the wiser. I ran a cURL against facebook.com, logged into IRC, and loaded a file over gopher -- all successfully, first try. #pigeon

  12. Since it's been a few days -- for those of you who skimmed the interesting RF bits -- I'm going to spoil the payoff punchline to my Pigeon post last week: I wired my protocol "pigeon" (using SDRs, running only code I wrote down to the libuhd driver) from here in my office into a /64 of my BGP announced ARIN-assigned IP space (paultag.net) #pigeon

  17. I had no idea how to get back from archery, because it turns out they put castles on very tall hills and I didn't think I was going to find a taxi. The park was gorgeous and I wasn't mad about the walk. It turns out I was right about the taxi, too, because the castle sits in a very large park and I wandered into some sort of large mass of people swarming towards what I assume is a football game and the road was packed with taxis coming and going. As I went further, I wandered by a fucking hamburger eating competition that was also like, packed.

Anyway, I managed to snap a picture of a gorgeous pigeon as as well some pretty sky/statue stuff.
