Can't afford to splash out on a real 500mm+ lens so took a punt on a Jintu 500mm manual focus mirror jobby. (Previously owned a Cassegrain telescope which was fine)
Pigeon on the fence at the end of the back yard, handheld, looks OK.The circular bokeh effect may take some getting used to...

Mellie was acting strange and walking around grawling like a cranky old lady and I was afraid she had a heat stroke.
Little did I know that a little young pigeon had got itself stuck in our closed back balcony.
The poor thing was terrified, exhausted and dehydrated.
Picked it up, gave it some water and let it sit and rest for a few minutes before she flew away.
My daughter was very excited, but also a bit scared touching it.
And silly Mellie was SCARED of the bird and jealous that I was taking care of it
She was walking around slow barking like swearing at me, it was really really funny. I should have recorded it.
My daughter took a lot of videos and a few pictures of it.
