New article by Vincent Ramos analyses #parentalleave provisions in the population of collective agreements in the #philippines. A policy reform did not induce short-term crowding-out effects + redundancy functionally raises the costs of non-compliance.

How UK paternity leave compares to the rest of Europe.
Most dads in the UK get two weeks of leave when their baby is born - but new fathers in many other countries get more.
BBC News spoke to dads in different countries about how much time they can take off work after the birth of their children - and how that's changed fatherhood for them.

Dad strike in the UK, organized by The Dad Shift.
They say:
“The UK’s statutory paternity leave is bad. Really bad. In fact, it’s the worst in Europe. We are calling for paternity leave that is: substantial, affordable, and equal.”
If we want to encourage equity in parenting, we must make accommodations for both parents. My career path afforded me the time to be a dad, and our family is better for it.
