However, experts have long since established that the decisive factor is the destruction of their #habitats: intensively farmed land, #pesticides, early mowing, drainage systems, and monotonous crops.
Instead of controlling foxes, we should be planting hedges, restoring #wetlands, adjusting mowing schedules, and reducing pesticide use.
