    In #Astigmata #mites #ovipore and #copulatory organ are spatially separated, an #evolutionary innovation that allows #spermtransfer, its #storage in the receptaculum seminis, and #egglaying to occur simultaneously. W. Witalinski (2014) described the #oogenetic and #inseminatory (secondary) #system.©#StefanFWirth
