Heute muss ich wieder loben statt meckern. Auf der Arbeit hat #OpcUa Stress gemacht mit den getrennten App/User-Zertifikaten. Aber hey, die #OPC Foundation verschenkt gerade Tickets für die #HannoverMesse. Also Ticket geklickt, um 17:00 hin und deren Standpersonal nach Implementierungsdetails gefragt. Und... wow! Die waren total nett, wussten alles und kannten sogar die richtige Spec für weitere Details. Und Gummibärchen gabs auch.

It's another Monday but this time our machine #telemetry #nodejs ingester survived the weekend, thanks to a move to worker threads.

Each #OPCUA connector runs in its own worker, so if the worker crashes it doesn't kill the entire ingester process and can be restarted.

We've added more graceful handling of disconnects and reconnect backoff.

Resource usage isn't nearly as high as we had worried it might be, but out on-prem server is a beast, so we have tonnes of headroom.

Hmm. Not sure about the wisdom of this...

There are physical assets at risk and sometimes, arguably oftentimes, #SafetyCritical systems concerns here.

I would need to see a safety case, at minimum.

And I expect I would not receive it.
