c’est bien ça le problème. Je lis presque exclusivement des ebooks.
De tous les endroits en Ontario je sais qu’on est pas les moins biens servi et je suis content de l’effort de la TPL pour un catalogue francophone. Mais.. on a beaucoup plus de ebooks sur BanQ ou sur la bibliothèque des Amériques (que j’ai juste appris l’existence ce matin!)

La Bibliothèque de Toronto est sur Cantook. C’est pas que le catalogue francophone est inexistant, il semble y avoir beaucoup de livres, mais ça reste limité et ce que je cherche est souvent pas la

Pour les francophones hors Québec qui veulent avoir accès à des livres en français, c’est assez facile de s’inscrire en ligne à la #BAnQ (Bibliothèque et Archives nationales du Québec).
Ça demande juste une adresse au Québec mais on semble pas vraiment vérifier (j’ai mis celle de mon père)
Et après on a accès à des ebook/livres numériques à travers l’application Prêt Numerique

I'd also point out that a good number of these cuts are aimed at Glendon, York's bilingual campus. While it's true that the university has had trouble recruiting Francophone students or Anglo students whose French is up to snuff, this feels like another assault on post-secondary French-language education in Ontario, especially after the provincial government's refusal to intervene at Laurentian.

Ce soir à 20h, Radio‑Canada diffuse le débat des porte-paroles francophones des quatre principaux partis politiques ontariens. Évidemment, les leaders n'y seront pas (à quoi bon apprendre le français, après tout).

There's one French-language bookstore in #Toronto. One! In the largest city in an officially bilingual country. It's a hole-in-the-wall place, focused mostly on books for kids. It has a good selection and great service; we've spent a fair chunk of change there over the years. It's closing at the end of the month because it just can't compete with online retailers. Quelle tristesse.
