@KommaChameleon I felt good about my writing work on #OneForTheRoadStory so far but I hit a similar writing wall with it after a few chapters and I'm struggling on it both to fill out the plot and to write. I just kinda let my inspiration do the writing initially without a full plot idea and it carried nicely for a while.

This was just a horny short story ideas based around an idea I got from a comic x3 but I do wanna try

I'm going to end up writing more stories set in this universe, aren't I? I'm already thinking through older events and things. Welp. x3 #OneForTheRoadStory

I kinda wanna comm sketches of some scenes from the story at some point here, heck

Probably like:
* Cody meeting Brandon for the first time
* Cody and Brandon in the truck? At least Cody using Brandon as an air mattress
* Brandon comforting Cody as a peaceful space affords Cody room for his emotions to unpack a tiny bit

I've uploaded chapter 6 of my story 'One for the Road' -- 'Nightgown'. This is the furthest I've written so far, and emotional.

Settling into a hotel after a day of driving, the two find calm, allowing Cody a place to open up a little bit about the scars of his trauma. I'm still not 100% happy with this chapter?

After the storm, Brandon gets to work clearing the road of fallen trees, including making short work of a big one in a way that flusters Cody tremendously.

"One for the Road"'s first chapter, 'Stranded', is up!

Content warning: depictions of mental health issues such as depression and intrusive thoughts, and some mention of latex kink and inflation at times, though not usually as a core focus

Description: Cody, a coyote in his late 20s, has been abandoned at a truck stop in the far north of the continent he lives on, with no one he knows who can come help him, and a threat of being kicked out since all bunks are taken, rather than letting him sleep in a waiting area. An unusual traveler -- a timberwolf trucker made entirely of rubber and air, named Brandon -- offers him a way out: ride with him to keep him company on the long, lonely routes, and he can stay for free. Cody's existing fascination with rubbery things, plus the mire of the situation, disarms him of most inhibitions he'd have towards accepting an offer to travel, and so he joins Brandon (@Glitchyeen) on the treks across the continent, finding more than just friendship, but maybe a start to recovering from the trauma of what brought him there to begin with.
