Vor ein paar Tagen habe ich bei einem Rack-Server-Angebot bei eBay für 1.400 Euro geboten. Außer den Fotos und dem Namen (Supermicro Sys-7049GP-TRT Server) gab es keine Angaben. Aber ich wusste, dass allein das Gehäuse den Preis wert ist. Da ich schon länger ein GPU-geeignetes Rack-Gehäuse für eine private „Haus-KI” und als Gaming-Rack gesucht hatte, war die Entscheidung einfach.
Es stellte sich heraus, dass hinter der Air Shroud für die GPU eine Nvidia Tesla V100S mit 32 GB RAM eingebaut war. Das war von außen nicht erkennbar. Die V100S-Variante ist das stärkste Modell der Reihe:

Hat jemand #Verwendung dafür? Ich würde sie für einen relativ kleinen Preis abgeben.

I gave #Wayland a try yesterday on #Kubuntu #2404. Weirdly, I had a second ghost monitor to start the session, and that took a little to figure out. But once I got going everything seemed to be working, and it was running on #Nvida drivers. It is so close. My #wine #games worked, awesome. What did not work were my heavier #Steam games. They run slow on #X11, but they work. Wayland I was at like a frame every 2 minutes haha. Soon. I'll try it again in a month and tinker with some settings. :owi:

I saw your video, and it was great. I'm programmer and for my job, I used a lot of linux systems in my life. The Debian is a good OS for servers, but for desktop it's not a great choice; #ubuntu, #deepin and #Kbuntu could be a good choice for desktop computers, because Ubuntu, Deepin and Kubuntu can support #NVIDA graphics card and you can use snap and steam without any problems. -
An interesting paper by #NVIDA describing methods to adapt end-to-end #speechrecognition models to a new domain without using any data from the original domain and minimizing catastrophic forgetting 😎.
