  1. @LeviKornelsen Writing in french and english. I'm currently in a "back to the roots" fad, reading tons of #OSR and #NuSR and writing a bit. I'm a big fan of #Runequest, #RêveDeDragon, #Amber, #Mage, all things #Cyberpunk.
Occasionally, you may read me about free software, sci-fi and fantasy litterature, stoner and doom metal, woodworking or leatherworking, politics and social justice, but i try to keep these on my other account, @[email protected].

  2. My players are looking for jobs in the local taverns (one working, middle, and upper class), at the local magic college, and in the local church.

Need ideas for what jobs people might need doing!

Setting is a castle town in a human (catholic) kingdom on the edge of a forest full of faeries, demons, and pagans (#Dolmenwood).

    All suggestions appreciated!

    #TTRPG #OSR #OldSchoolEssentials #DnD #NuSR

  3. @Yora The rest is sort of inherited from OSR:

    1. Cunning over head-on
    2. Player skill applies to situations, not combinations of character's abilities
    3. Weird over standard
    4. Environment over personality
    5. Real danger over pretend-danger
    6. Simulation over collective narration

But the two points I mentioned in the previous toot make it clear if a system in front of you is #NuSR. #Whitehack is, for example.

  4. Every time I say #OSR, I cringe.

Based on the works of bigoted, shallow people like #Gygax and others, worse[1].

I should start to only use hashtag #NuSR to distance from all that cringe.
