  1. I think Thomas Midgley Jr. has met his match as the biggest killer of the Homo Sapiens era.

How incredibly stupid is this? SHOW us how you came to this conclusion, and provide us with open, peer-reviewed, papers that back up your claims.

    Happy voting.

  16. So vaccines are bad, people with other combinations of the X and Y genes don't exist, climate change just needs more gas and oil, and pandemics don't cross political land boundaries.

But surely if a country wants to stop immigration to attain to a myth of race purity then here we go back to Celts or even Neanderthals and over the pond to the First Nations?

  26. A while back I tried ordering a #chai with almond milk instead of the usual milk, and I liked the taste and thought I'd order it that way. Recently one of the shops I visited was out of almond milk so I got the regular stuff, and ended up with a fairly bad stomach ache. This has happened more than once. Next visit I need to ask them if they use whole milk or 2%.

As a security researcher by trade I am well aware this is not scientific, but for me this is at least interesting. Regardless, this doesn't bode well future drinks/food with heavy diary context, as I may be skipping them.

  31. Disclaimer: I rarely bother with Instagram, have never used TikTok or SnapChat, and no longer touch the x-bird site.

Wife asks if I've heard of a guy claiming humans are obligate carnivores and should not eat vegetables (not gonna name him).

    Me: So he's a crank.

    Her: He's an influencer.

Me: So he's a crank *with an audience*.

Remember when cranks could only reach the colloquium crowd that had to listen to their almost-based-in-reality questions?

  36. Headlines on my daily newspaper this morning, front page: Germans worrying about #climatechange and longing for more #sustainability (90%); cornered by Lufthansa striking record-high profits (like AirFrance-KLM, by the way).

And who would Germans vote for if there would be a general election: a fine majority for the climate-change denying, millionaire-"elite" sustaining right to ultra-right parties (CDU/CSU, FDP, AfD)

    🤔 Classic case of en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cognitiv
