@sabrinkmann @cark Soweit ich weiß, gibt es zu der #NOAW session noch keine Dokumentation. Wir haben vor allem über Rolle von öffentlichen Einrichtungen (zB als Unibibliothek), Informations- und Aufklärungsarbeit zum Thema und Anreize für Wechsel ins Fediverse gesprochen. Auch empowerment, dh Jugendliche darin zu unterstützen, eigene Micro-communities aufzubauen im Fediverse, Bonfire als Option wurde genannt. @douwe teilte einen interessanten Report von Stadt Amsterdam: https://waag.social/@douwe/116261189261622310

@cark Ich finde diesen Gedanken tatsächlich gar nicht so utopisch. Gerade im Bereich der Jugendlichen gibt es ohnehin schon eine umfangreiche Infrastruktur von staatlicher Seite. Eine sehr breite Adoption wäre bestimmt schwierig, aber dass es wirklich eine technische Entwicklung von den Jugendringen, Landesmedienanstalten oder anderen Trägern gibt, halte ich gar nicht für unmöglich.
Es gibt natürlich viel zu beachten, aber vielleicht sollte man einfach mal das Gespräch mit den in Podcasts genannten Stellen suchen.
Ich weiß, dass es bei der #noaw auch eine Session zum Thema Potenzial von Jugendlichen im Fediverse gab. Gibt es dazu etwas Schriftliches, @babetteknauer, oder hast du vielleicht andere spannende Links zu diesem Thema? -

youdecide based on that axiom, still not reality. "Game over" is your "giving in to the facism" standpoint. All this based on 'AI' doomerism that states that it has won and we must just no longer resist. If you choose, that can be your standpoint, but stop professing it as the truth. It is not, and many people will not accept it. DON'T TRY TO STOP THOSE PEOPLE, they try to make the world better, for everyone, also for you.

We need to be careful and not allow ‘AI’ doomism to push us towards authoritarian solutions, like forcing identity verification obligations onto the #fediverse, that would throw up a barrier for free and fair access for all.

I was too tired yesterday, but here is a summary of #NOAW day 2 (the final day). First, @mfeilner gave a talk on his #fédipub idea: https://mastodon.social/@mfeilner/116261607946162297.
I really liked the idea of 'levels' for public institutions. For me, something like this could be useful:
1. Having a Mastodon account.
2. A public press release and cross-posting.
3. Not just broadcasting, but also engaging.
4. Running your own instance.
5. Having other accounts on this instance for other departments.
6. Having an account on other appropriate Fediverse services.
This is to be continued.
For this, @KIT_Karlsruhe and @landesregierung are already at level 5.
@DeutscherWetterdienst is probably only level 2.
Perhaps a better version of this metric could help guide public organisations towards better usage. -
Thank you to everyone at @FediVariety who helped organise this event! I had a great time and enjoyed many interesting conversations.
We need organisations to facilitate this kind of event and conversation for further sustainable development.
I felt really welcome at the event. The location was lovely, and the open format allowed for lots of interesting conversations, while still providing enough opportunity to meet new people and have detailed discussions. There was also plenty of nice food!
I would definitely go again.

After that, we had a brief discussion about organisations and financial sustainability.
In my opinion, there are a lot of possibilities in this area and a lot to be done. It's great to have @swf; something like that in Europe would be great. Different organisations are probably needed to advocate for these new Fediverse services, take part in coalitions for EU funding, and help smaller organisations with the public tender process.
There is still so much to do, but the potential future is really interesting.

Heading home after the second day on #NOAW #Fediverse #unconferenfe Love the fact that this community is so very open to innovation and creating different spaces online that support other ways of interaction, self-organization and self-expression, where this room is getting smaller and smaller everywhere else. In that sense, it is a free haven for creative thinking and tinkering, an online breeding ground for the open web. Thanks everyone!

Some documentation for the second #noaw.
We finished last night with a really nice Conference Dinner.
Today, we started with 3 session slots.The first session I hosted and talked "Financial Sustainability". This is still a very open problem. A lot of the work is done in free time or funded with small grants. This needs future proofing, no matter in what direction the growth is.
My moonshot solution idea: Having more services like Ghost or ecommerce platforms on the Fediverse. How cool would it be if we could buy and discover stuff from a lot of different small artists or companies. Especially if we can standardize and I don't need to manually enter my data every time I'm buying something from a new shop. This could crossfinance, other areas?!After that, there was some talks about EU funding, structures of the Fediverse for youth work, and so many other conversations.
This is also how the conference looks from the waterway. Still really good conversations and weather!

I will be at Nodes on a Web from @FediVariety next week, so now is the perfect time to finally add multilingual support to the Mastodon list. This website aggregates daily lists of Mastodon accounts based on Wikidata queries and daily Mastodon meta numbers in different categories.
In total, there are 22 lists on this website: https://mastodon-listen.playground.54gradsoftware.de/.There are five new lists specific to the Netherlands:
