Speaking of Lene Lovich:
🇩🇪 🇺🇸 Nina Hagen & Lene Lovich "Don't Kill the Animals" – 1986
A wonderfully strange collision of two of new wave’s most distinctive voices. Nina Hagen and Lene Lovich bring their theatrical, eccentric vocal styles together on a sharply produced electronic track that turns an animal-rights message into something unmistakably 1980s...

#NowPlaying Challenging myself with another odd thing I picked up for a few bucks on a whim at an open-air record swap. “New York New York” is a lumpy bum note to start the LP - however, its follow-up, “My Sensation” is a slick, driving and what you’d want and expect out of a 1983 major label new wave record. Disco opera. As a German American I feel some kinda inexorable cultural draw toward this LP, like a rubber band around the ankle. Holy shit, produced by Giorgio Moroder! #NewWave #NinaHagen #Records #Vinyl
