Samsung finally adds the network speed meter through QuickStar!
Samsung fans have long awaited the network speed meter feature in the status bar, which shows you the total network speed as it gets used. This speed is a combination of both the upload and the download speed, which gets shown on your phone. Users have always used a third-party application, with Internet Speed Meter Lite as the most commonly used application, to gain this functionality, but today’s QuickStar update (version 11.0.03.15) for One UI 9.0 has something to add.
If you are running One UI 9.0 Beta on your Galaxy S26, you can finally access the long-awaited feature that lets you access the current network speed! Through QuickStar settings, you can enable it by going to Indicator Icons > Network Speed.
Currently, this functionality is only available for those who are running One UI 9.0 Beta on their phones, and the stable rollout of One UI 9.0, which will happen in the second quarter of this year, makes sure that this feature becomes available to many users whose devices are eligible for this version of One UI.
This feature, however, is not available for those who are running One UI 8.5 or lower at this time. If you are still using those versions of One UI, you may want to consider downloading a third-party network speed meter application.
To update QuickStar once it becomes available, check the Galaxy Store or the Good Lock app.
