📅 Sat, Nov 29 – Guided walk at Edgewood Park (9–10am PT)We’ll explore how to use iNaturalist to turn those “Hey, what is that?” moments into real discoveries—no experience needed. If you’re local, I’d love to see you on the trail!

2021.While on a nature hike with my friend, Lyrica, we spotted an owl flying into the top of this tree snag & it was hooting from inside. I tried to talk it out in 2nd photo. Then, I tried to hug the snag tree & try to coax it out. It did not work. The owl didn't come out but it hooted a few more times before we walked away.

Does anyone else notice #Nature in their dreams? 😴 I know I'm a huge #naturenerd but recently more of my dreams are starting to feature feathered friends and #wildlife. In last night's dream I was lying in the leaf litter with flocks of feeding Bramblings playing hide and seek. It's getting to that time of year - I obviously can't wait! 🍂😍

Today I stood on a flooded reedbed path, waiting for rare birds to appear. Misjudging the footwear I'd need meant that my boots were beyond waterlogged for hours and the #birds didn't even show! 🤣
