OMG! A tv news story about yellowjackets/ #wasps-- which can seem more abundant in #latesummer as nests shut down (queen goes away, leaving workers on their own)-- their 'expert' actually said 'worker bees' more than once-- they are not #bees!! That's just super sloppy speech from someone who must surely know better!
At work- customer at drive-thru window: "I have to close my "(car ) window, there are lots of bees"
me: "Those are wasps."
