It is Kim Sun-A 's natural acting in "My Lovely Samsoon " that brought me to this drama from a while ago.
In "The City Hall" again in a role typical for females in Korean drama : Underdog, obedient woman with nothing going for her finding her strength eventually.
As typical as this "Korean" trope might be, as male I have seen nice examples of that in my own private and working life.
Nothing "Korean Trope": It is Reality.

Seeing so many now familiar faces in the drama from 2005. A real nostalgia-trip .

I do rewatch older Korean dramas sometimes, but missed this one.

@hanktank61 @[email protected] Yes! I really enjoyed #MyLovelySamsoon. I love a feisty FL! Someone else posted earlier about the young #HyunBin. He was fine in this drama but has very much improved with age. I have #CityHall on my list, another with the same FL.

@JillsJoy I finished and enjoyed #MyLovelySamSoon. Certainly dated. I’d like to watch FL again. She’s in City Hall, which I think was recommended by someone at some point. No recent shows.

@jillithd RIGHT??! I can count the number of KDramas I've seen probably on one hand and even I can tell this scene is way too common. Seeing it in #MyLovelyLiar just made me chuckle. Because I swear I remember seeing it in #MyLovelySamSoon and #BoysOverFlowers and probably #EmergencyCouple
