Federico Casagrande: Gentle Riders

If they were going to make a modern day spaghetti Western in 2026, the newest project from the Paris-based, Italian jazz guitarist could provide the soundtrack. It's Morricone meets Frisell - the Good, the Bad, and the ambient. The album evokes cinematic vistas approached by horseback, an instrumental guitar sound of the American west, tinges of country, folk and rock with Casagrande's jazz background tying them together. Beautifully desolate and easygoing. Enjoy!

Sam and Louise Sullivan: Love & Devotion

The songs on this album are the kinds of earworms would've sat around waiting to record off the radio top 40 countdown so could listen to em on repeat. I guess we would've considered them pop songs back then. The first two on here would've been legit chart climbers and most of the rest not too far behind. The album is overflowing with sweet and catchy, with pristine production and perfect tracking. Altogether irresistible. Enjoy!
