This ornamental plant, the #Nandina, is native to eastern Asia from the Himalayas to Japan.
They’re out in numbers here in #melbourne and this one was pictured recently, in the early afternoon sun.
The vibrant red fruit are clumped, tightly packed and in abundance here.
The berries contain toxins, therefore they remain in tact and preserved until they dry and drop. Birds know all too well not to eat these things!

#NarcissusJonquilla, commonly known as jonquil or rush daffodil, is a gorgeous flowering plant, a species of daffodil that is native to Spain and Portugal but has now become naturalised in many other regions.
They certainly add colour and vibrancy to any overcast day.
Saying that, the sun has been making an appearance for the past hour or so in #Melbs.
Whatever you’re up to, make it a goodun!

I’m not even going to try to identity this one, as the ID app provided around a dozen possibilities.
But the common theme is that it’s likely to be from the #Rosaceae (#rose) family. (EDIT; appears plenty of advice that this is likely a #Hawthorn of some sort 🤔, perhaps. Thanks for the comments 👏👍).
The fruit on this is the size of the smallest blueberry you sometimes get in a punnet. Cute-as!

More #Lantanas - these one’s botanic name is #Lantanacanescens and I like them because they’re simple and the colour structure of whites, merging into the yellow centres.
Each head is in various stages of bloom.
They’re delicate and healthy looking. I’d suggest this shrub has been well watered. Most likely fed as well.

These #Lantanas are bright and cheery!
Tiny and intricate structures. I love them.
These ones were spotted via car on a field trip and they were worth pulling over for!
