#sunday is the day when you can make a more elaborate #dinner. Tonight is #morrocan #Couscous w/ lamb, turkey & feta meatballs, boneless chicken thigh pieces, eggplant, garlic, raisins & roasted cauliflower, carrots, red peppers & sweet onions with Ras el Hanout spice.
#wine pairing is a terrific Gran Pagos d’Espana #rioja offering balanced raspberry, strawberry, red cherry, blood orange, anise, Meyer lemon, river moss & stone minerality.

A typical #BBQ ensued. Bellies were filled. Kids were having a blast. Then the instruments started coming out of the woodwork. Traditional #flutes, #drums, turtle-shell rattles. It was time to jam.Being the new guy, everyone wanted to hear what I could do, so I started playing some mellow jazzy arrangements I'd been toying with. They worked really well as a backing to Looking Wolf's soulful flute, meanwhile a #Morrocan percussionist named Joseph Baidou was bringing a whole different vibe👇
