En polare har gett sig f_n på att inget hett vatten ska passera eller nudda vatten medan han brygger kaffe. Så nu har han moddat en Moccamaster. Det verkar fungera oväntat bra!

Den ända plast som är kvar är endpluggen längst fram på "snabeln" (Vad kallar men det? 😂). Men det ligger i plan att lösa säger han. Såklart finns det en Reddit: https://www.reddit.com/r/plasticfreecoffee/

I learned that, when the (also >20 years old) machine of my parents had both a broken filter cover (probably turned brittle over the years) and a broken plastic part in the coffee pot. They were considering to buy a new one (for free probably, given the amount of #DouweEgberts points they have), but a new coffee pot and cover later, as good as new!
Only complaint I have is they don't sell the switches on the site..

Crisis resolved. The Moccamaster has arrived and after cleaning and 2 runs with just water it has made its first pot of coffee and it is delicious. I set the grinder to a bit more coarse and will experiment some more, but I can make coffee again. Yay!

Omg! There is an original real #moccamaster machine in the office!

Moccamaster modding community: I want a coffee grinder that dispenses directly into the filter basket so I can move it from the grinder to the brewer without getting grounds on my countertop. Bonus point if it has a built-in scale that tares to the weight of the basket and filter for precise grinding.

(I rarely drink coffee or caffeine due to medication, but I make it for my husband.)

Meidän huushollissa toimitaan about niin, että kun Moccamasterin mittalusikasta katkeaa varsi, niin noin kahden vuoden päästä siitä Juuso on saanut tehtyä itse uuden lusikan tilalle (sen sijaan että oltais menty viereiseen Citymarkettiin ostamaan uusi lusikka).

Mut hiljaa hyvä tulee, ne sanoo. Projektia hidasti kovasti myös se, että valitsin materiaaliksi pihlajan (on vähän p*rkeleen kovaa puuta työstää).

Kiitos kärsivällisyydestä rakkaalle avovaimolleni. Haluaisin vielä kuitenkin muistuttaa, että kyllä mä lupaamani hommat teen. Ei niistä tarvii joka kuuden kuukauden välein muistutella 🙄

Got a new #moccamaster via UPS today, and the glass inside the carafe was absolutely obliterated. Like, millions of tiny shards.

For the past year I was using a #coffee machine with plastic capsules (yes, you are allowed to lynch me for that).

Now, because I decided that it's not only bad for the environment but also for my wallet (nearly €50 per kg of coffee), I started looking for an actual coffee machine.

I have an #AeroPress but I am honestly a bit too lazy to manually make the coffee every morning. Regular coffee machines always have these gigantic glass bowls that hold several cups, but I only ever drink one cup so I didn't really want to get one of those either

Anyway, long story short: I finally found a nice coffee machine that makes exactly one big (300 ml) cup of coffee, the #Moccamaster One Cup! I love the way it looks and it makes a really nice and decently fast cup of coffee.

@ssamulczyk @maciej_gorzow I used a #moccamaster for years to brew my morning coffee. Now I drink tea... sometimes I miss it though, the smell when the water starts dripping in the filter...
