This week’s Minoan Tarot cards. This deck is my creation, made the old-fashioned way (ink on paper) and available at bookstores online and IRL.
Eight of Labryses: You may feel powerless, like you’re between a rock and a hard place. It may feel like the only choices you have are bad ones, but that’s not actually the case. Your anxiety about the situation is clouding your thinking so you can’t see the options clearly. Maybe one of the choices that you think is bad would actually work well for you. You may have overlooked some possibilities entirely because you’re not thinking clearly. The trick here is to figure out the real source of your anxiety, acknowledge it, and let it go so your mind can clear and you can reason your way to solutions.
Seven of Daggers: It may appear that you’re being pressed from outside by other people who are competing against you, when really, you’re being challenged to find new levels of creativity and conviction within yourself. You have all the qualities you need to succeed. It’s your belief in yourself that’s being tested here, and your willingness to fight for what you want. Draw on your inner strength to find the courage and perseverance to get to where you want to go.
For those who are new to these card draws, each week I pull one card from the top of the deck and a second card from the bottom. The top-of-the-deck card (the first one, on the left) gives us some helpful hints about how to navigate our week. The bottom-of-the-deck card (the second one, on the right) is the “secret treasure” that can help us find joy in these Interesting Times.

Yes, folks, I wrote a romance novel! It's Minoan-themed (a total surprise, I'm sure 😉) and is set among the bull leaping community of ancient Crete. It's lightly spicy - apologies to those of you who were hoping for more steam. It is, however, plenty angsty and emotional, and it has the desired happy ending, because Adelphos and his new love deserve that much. For more details, and plenty of places to find it that aren't named after a South American river, go here:

This week’s Minoan Tarot cards. This deck is my creation, made the old-fashioned way (ink on paper) and available at bookstores everywhere.
Maid of Horns: Stay grounded. View the world from a down-to-earth, practical perspective, using the rational facts to make your decisions. Friendships, more than romantic inclinations, provide you with the connections you need to stay grounded this week. Do your best not to get bogged down in details, and of course take other people’s feelings seriously. But practicality trumps wishful thinking by a long shot, so stick to material-world analysis when deciding which way to go.
Two of Horns: Life shifts from day to day, whether we like it or not. Expect short-term changes in fortune or in the material arrangement of life. There will be gains to offset any losses, either literal or figurative. But change and motion are real, and this card calls on you to join in the dance, skip along with the parade, go with the flow. The changes are for the good, even if the upheaval is hard to handle at the moment. Be flexible, focus on the positive, and you’ll make it through this time before you know it.
For those who are new to these card draws, each week I pull one card from the top of the deck and a second card from the bottom. The top-of-the-deck card (the first one, on the left) gives us some helpful hints about how to navigate our week. Curious about inclusive Minoan spirituality but don't know where to start? Labrys & Horns is the basic how-to manual: learn about the Minoans, connect with the deities, create an altar, begin a devotional practice. "Inclusive" means what it says: all are welcome.

This week’s Minoan Tarot cards offer a way for us to balance our own inner and outer worlds, no matter how unbalanced the Big World becomes. This deck is my creation, made the old-fashioned way (ink on paper) and available at bookstores everywhere.
Nine of Horns: This is the card of honest success through self-reliance and self-discipline. You have learned to buckle down and do what needs doing, and this self-control and dedication has brought you material rewards. You may not have reached all your goals, but you are well on your way thanks to your excellent work ethic. You can now begin to enjoy much of what life has to offer.
The Adept: The Adept embodies balance and harmony among all forces. The Adept has both the background and the experience to move along his or her chosen path, using both outward and inward tools for spiritual development. This card speaks of finding the deity within, learning all you can, and following a spiritual path. The Adept is willing to do the work to advance along that path, recognizing that nothing of value comes without effort. The Adept also accepts that all traditions and institutions were created by human beings and are therefore flawed to some extent, but the careful student can find the value within all teachings and use them for spiritual growth.

Did you know that the cards in my Minoan Tarot deck were inspired by genuine examples of ancient Minoan art? I created this deck myself, with ink on paper, no AI and no clipart. Just true inspiration from a beautiful ancient culture. It's available at most online bookstores (including plenty that aren't named after a South American river) and can be easily ordered from the major distributors by any brick-and-mortar shop.

This week’s Minoan Tarot cards. This deck is my creation, made the old-fashioned way (ink on paper) and available at bookstores everywhere.
Three of Horns: Lean into cooperation and teamwork to get where you want to go, figuratively or literally, this week. Many life goals are too big for a single person to accomplish alone. Ask for help when you need it, and look to experts - those who know more than you do - when your own knowledge falls short. Allow yourself to compromise when necessary, and practice your people skills as you make or strengthen connections with others.
Youth of Rhytons: Let your love show! Be honest about how much you care about others around you, without judgment. Let them know; don’t be shy. Being open-hearted helps reinforce your connections with others. It also strengthens you from within, since you have to value yourself in order to send love outward to others.

This week’s Minoan Tarot cards. This deck is my creation, made the old-fashioned way (ink on paper) and available at bookstores everywhere.
Priest of Labryses: Let your inner Air guide your outer actions. Lean on your intellect and take the time to analyze any issues that arise, working out strategies that will achieve your desired goals. Always refer to your ethics so your decisions will be fair and just, and be willing to take needed actions without waiting for others to act first or give you permission.
Ten of Rhytons: Lean on the strong, steady relationships in your life since they are a source of happiness and emotional fulfillment. Let your connections with others engender joy and give you a sense of steadiness. Heart-centered relationship is a source of emotional nourishment; value it and celebrate it.

I created this coloring book (by hand, no clipart or AI) because I wanted a historically accurate Minoan coloring book, and there wasn't one available. Yes, I've colored the pages in it myself! I hope you enjoy it as much as I have. Details and sample coloring pages via link below. And yes, it's available elsewhere besides that place named after a South American river.

When I draw a Tarot card for the day, I stand it on my altar so I can see it every time I pass that spot and be reminded of it. Sometimes I put it away at the end of the day, and sometimes I leave it out overnight as a companion to my dreams.

This week’s Minoan Tarot cards. This deck is my creation, made the old-fashioned way (ink on paper) and available at bookstores everywhere.
The Fool: The primal self without presumptions; oneness with the universe and trust in it. The acts of the Fool look risky or ridiculous only to those who are not also in tune. The purpose of spiritual study is to strip off the layers to reach this pure state again, to once more be fully in touch with the cosmos and your own divinity.
The Adept: The Adept has both the background and the experience to move along their chosen path, using both outward and inward tools for spiritual development. This card speaks of finding the deity within, learning all you can and following a spiritual path. This week’s Minoan Tarot cards. This deck is my creation, made the old-fashioned way (ink on paper) and available at bookstores everywhere.
Priest of Labryses: Lean on your intellect this week to sort out any issues that may arise. Analyze the situation dispassionately and create strategies for dealing with it. Once you’ve patiently figured out the best choice, make a firm decision, articulate it clearly, and stick with it.
Two of Rhytons: Pay attention to your relationships and value them for the reciprocal exchange of energy they provide in your life. Our connections in our personal, professional, and spiritual lives are an important part of our being. Lean into those connections, especially in one-on-one settings.

This week's Minoan Tarot cards. This deck is my creation, my art, no AI involved.
Maid of Horns: Simple, straightforward practicality will get you where you need to go. Try not to get bogged down in the details, and don’t forget that people have feelings. But viewing the situations you encounter in a direct, down-to-earth, pragmatic way is your best bet this week.
Youth of Daggers: Enthusiasm is a great beginning, but it won’t get you very far unless you invest some time and effort in learning real skills. The learning curve doesn’t have to be daunting - or boring. Dedicate yourself to working toward mastery, and you can celebrate each successful step along the way.
For those who are new to these card draws, each week I pull one card from the top of the deck and a second card from the bottom. This book was really hard to write, not because the story is complicated (though it is) but because it's so heart-wrenching. And so very relevant to our times. Follow Aria as she navigates the hard times at the end of Minoan civilization, and ponder how we might make better choices today. Book details, including CWs, here:

Today's Minoan Tarot cards offer some helpful advice for making it through another week in these Interesting Times.
The World: Now is a time of fulfillment, accomplishment, wholeness, satisfaction, and contentment. The different aspects of your life connect seamlessly. This isn’t as much about material success as it is about inner satisfaction and a sense of deep meaning in life. Allow yourself to enjoy it.
Seven of Rhytons: You are indulging in wishful thinking in some way rather than facing what’s really there. You may feel like avoiding the truth will keep you from unpleasant situations, but it’s actually causing problems - and also making you miss out on opportunities. So face the situation the way it really is instead of how you’d like it to be, and the honesty will help you in the long run.
This deck is my creation, made the old-fashioned way (ink on paper) and available at bookstores everywhere.

I wrote this book at the request of the Ariadne's Tribe community. It's a guide to inclusive Minoan spirituality for the solitary practitioner, with rituals, devotionals, the pantheon and the sacred calendar - and even some crafts!

This week’s Minoan Tarot cards. This deck is my creation, made the old-fashioned way (ink on paper) and available at bookstores everywhere.
Balance: This card stands for moderation, compromise, and the middle ground. It can include the give-and-take of relationships as well as a healthy equilibrium between work and play, exercise and rest, and other areas of life. Look for where your life is out of balance and seek to restore the equilibrium.
Judgment: It’s time to make some hard choices. Choose based on what you know is right, regardless of what anyone else thinks. There may be no “perfect choice.” Do the best you can given the circumstances. Life isn’t perfect.
For those who are new to these card draws, each week I pull one card from the top of the deck and a second card from the bottom. The top-of-the-deck card (the first one, on the left) gives us some helpful hints about how to navigate our week. I'm so proud of this book! It's the second-biggest art project I've ever undertaken (The Minoan Tarot is the biggest). Tales from the Labyrinth is a fully-illustrated collection of the modern lore from Ariadne's Tribe, all the myths and stories of our beloved Minoan deities, collected in one place. FYI Ariadne's Tribe is a fully inclusive Minoan spiritual tradition (all means all).
Find all the details, including Table of Contents, a video of me reading a chapter, and a page-by-page flip-through of the whole book, on my website. Oh yes, and plenty of places to find it that aren't named after a South American river.

A pair of Minoan Tarot cards for these Interesting Times:
Death: This card represents the concept of change so great that we can’t see through to the other side of it. Our deepest fear is the unknown, which this card represents: change that we fear profoundly, possibly because we sense that it will transform us to the very core. This kind of transformation often represents the end of an era in our lives; this card also usually means that the change is inexorable and fighting against it is a pointless waste of time and energy.
Two of Horns: Life is change: not huge upheavals (at least not usually) but instead, constant small shifts that rearrange our life’s path. Like the rocking deck of a ship, these changes lend rhythm to our lives, so work on your sea legs and ride the shifts and changes as they come.

Every card in my Minoan Tarot deck was inspired by a Minoan artifact or work of art. In this case, a single work of art - the Bull Leaper fresco - inspired two Major Arcana cards. I made this deck the old-fashioned way, with ink on paper.

This week's Minoan Tarot cards are a reminder that, while change is a constant in life, thankfully so are love and connection.
Ten of Rhytons: The steadiness and fulfillment of your long-term relationships is a beautiful foundation for your life. Celebrate these connections, and don’t be afraid to lean on them when you’re in need.
Two of Horns: Life is change: not huge upheavals (at least not usually) but instead, constant small shifts that rearrange our life’s path. Like the rocking deck of a ship, these changes lend rhythm to our lives, so work on your sea legs and ride the shifts and changes as they come.

This week's Minoan Tarot cards point to connection and warmth. Not a bad combo in these Interesting Times!
This deck is my creation, made the old-fashioned way (ink on paper) and available at bookstores everywhere.
Justice: Your life is a web of cause and effect. Your actions have consequences. You should make your choices based on openness and honesty, bearing in mind the effect your decisions will have on everyone you’re connected with, human and otherwise.
Priest of Daggers: Act on your inner Fire and let your passion, creativity, and charisma shine! This is not a card of wild abandon, but of mature, thoughtful action fueled by the warmth and energy of the Fire within you.

I had so much fun writing these stories and painting the illustrations for them! Each myth in this collection has a full-page color illustration to go with it, in the Minoan art style. From the Blessing of the Ships to the Mysteries to the Blooming Time, these tales navigate the cosmos and the wheel of the year from the perspective of inclusive Minoan spirituality.
