Early #MineralsMonday...very large (pocket knife for scale) spodumene crystals in an outcrop of pegmatite. Those coherent white masses are all individual crystals! Spodumene contains lithium (LiAl(SiO3)2) and could/will be an important #CriticalMineral for the #EnergyTransition. #geology #geoscience @geoscience #mining
