  10. PSA: If you are fortunate enough to have emergency backup systems in place for an extended winter power outage, remind your friends & family that they can come to your house (if/when safe to drive) to stay warm or charge devices, etc.

    We've done just that. With multiple large home batteries, and a fossil fuel generator (solar doesn't work so well under 15" of snow 😆) and propane heat, we may be a bit chilly - but not frozen!

    Do you have an elderly neighbor? Don't forget them! Remember, even gas/oil furnaces require electricity to run.
