I had pretty much wrapped up my #CoC #MasksofNyarlathotep #ttrpg campaign and had more or less stepped back. The group just wasn't a good fit—for me, anyway. Yesterday we officially parted ways. It's totally fine, but still feels a bit strange. Some playing styles just don't mesh.

Today, I'm going to begin #COC #MasksofNyarlathotep with some new people. I'm really excited. I think it's very ambitious to tackle one of the classic mega campaigns in this context. I still need to create a character – maybe someone along the lines of #HarryAngel? Roughly speaking. #ttrpg #horror

I started the year playing in a maximalist #MasksOfNyarlathotep campaign (for #CallOfCthulhu), two #OSE campaigns, one #DnD5e campaign in #ForgottenRealms, and one each of Classic #TravellerRPG, #MonsterOfTheWeek and #TheOneRing. (3/25)

This session of our Masks of Nyarlathotep campaign sees us leave London and head on the Orient Express down towards Cairo. One of our party is a famous movie star (you may recognise him from such films as Tarzen and the Lost Pyramids), and the cultists are using movie posters of him to recognise us.

So the train journey isn't entirely pleasant and restful. The train turns out to be better than the bus though.

That said, though, I got to play the #ADnD1e classic White Plume Mountain, an abridged version of #TravellerRPG's equally noteworthy “Ancients" saga (albeit mostly in #CypherSystem), @Splinterbone's ongoing #DnD5e #ForgottenRealms campaign, an irregular #MonsterOfTheWeek game, began campaigns of #OSE and #TheOneRing, and proudly participated in Al Smith's likely endless reimagining of #CallOfCthulhu's colossal #MasksOfNyarlathotep, featuring amongst many other embellishments…

As much as I enjoy tight historicity in #CallOfCthulhu, I have to admit my heart warmed as my character received an invitation to Jackson Elias' wedding—to his long-term boyfriend Carlton. 💕

Las Máscaras de Nyarlathotep es una campaña histórica de la Llamada de Cthulhu que, en cada edición, ha ido cambiando y mejorando hasta el producto actual, que es una maravilla. @rovegah se ha puesto manos a la obra para traérnosla al canal junto a un cast de lujo.

Después de las primeras dos sesiones, el nuevo capítulo de Perú está a punto de terminar esta noche. Desde aquí dará inicio la conocidísima campaña que nos llevará por todo el globo en la lucha contra el mal.
