It's time for my weekly round-up on media I've acquired, whether it be advanced reader's copies from NetGalley and Edelweiss, library borrows, or purchases. #Bookthreads #Books #Booksky #BookBlogger #StackingtheShelves #LibraryLove #BannedBooks #MaryRussell #KnaveOfDiamonds #LaurieRKing #BookReviews

Hirohito, the previous emperor of Japan, including before and during WWII came up in thread.

Remembering now how Hirohito was presented as an ethereal, barely natural being in #LaurieRKing's book Dreaming Spies (2015).

I love reading of #MaryRussell and her older husband in the series but the apparent indifference of the author to mass murder, enslavement and torture is troubling.

Memories buried too deep start to resurface in our heroine's mind, and she and her husband must get to the bottom of it before someone dies... again!

Thinking of #DetectiveSeries I've enjoyed the most.

Ones that explore what it is to be #Humane seem to do it for me.

#MaryRussell and Sherlock Holmes

#Cadfael

Got any others that explore the humane thing?
