Most everything you’ll read will be about his work X-Files—and of course, he changed the way TV scores were approached. But way back when he got his start as a drummer, singer, and songwriter for The New York Rock & Roll Ensemble. Another band I have the complete discography for. They remain affordable and relatively common; my copy of this is nearly mint and I got it for $6 (granted it was like 10 years ago).
If you like Matt Berry’s music this will be right up your alley. I can’t imagine he isn’t a fan.
I also have a personal connection as I went to college with his daughter. In fact we talked just a week ago. I spent a bunch of time with Mark. (This was years before X-Files.) He was a sweet, funny man.
This is very sad. -

Rest in Power #marksnow (Martin Fulterman). One of my Favorite composers. He composed the Original Scores for all Episodes and Films of #TheXFiles , #Millennium many Episodes of #ghostwhisperer , #smallville , #bluebloods , #tjhooker , #harttohart and many, many more. And He co-found the #NewYorkRocknRollEnsemble together with #michaelkamen
Thank You for the many hours of music - especially the X Files who influenced and touched my Heart very much.

On a perdu Mark Snow hier. C’était le compositeur de la série culte The X-Files, mais aussi de Ghost Whisperer, entre autres choses. J’aimais bien ses nappes d’ambiances angoissantes qui habillaient la quasi totalité d’un épisode ! Le générique d’X-Files est maintenant connu de toutes et tous et un thème reflétant l’étrange et le paranormal, tout ça grâce à ses 6 notes si reconnaissables. C’est mon côté x-phile qui est soudainement silencieux avec sa mort…

Watching the Twilight Zone from 2002, it's on Tubi. It's rad, man 🤣 If you haven't seen it, it's hosted by Forest Whitaker, the theme music is done by Jonathan Davis/Korn (one of the most 2002 things I've ever seen 😂🤣) and the rest of the music is done by Mark Snow (the dude that did the X-Files theme). Anyway, Tubi is free (and yeah, there's ads), but it has some really great stuff on it. Inglorious Basterds, that first TMNT movie from 1990, just a ton of cool stuff.
