#Supernatural had at least 2 legend writers from #XFiles in its first season, Ben Edlund and John Shiban, as well as the prolific XFiles director, Kim Manners, who went on get super attached to the #SPN production in Vancouver and became known as the "Show Bible" re: universe consistency.
SPN's been likened to Buffy and other CW shows like Vampire Diaries, but its baseline XFiles DNA gets overlooked imo 🫶

An official trailer dropped a few days ago for The X-Files: I Want to Believe - Vrach Frankenshteyn, which is Chris Carter’s scarier, R-rated director’s cut. This is the version of the film that the studio found too frightening to release in 2008.
Carter’s fully restored version premieres on August 14, 2026, on Hulu and Disney+

Got a new “geeks coexist” shirt to replace the old shirt that was wearing out. It was nice to see that the design has been updated to replace the symbol used for “S”. Even though I always thought it looked more like the Shazam bolt than that other lightning bolt reference, not getting drawn into that conversation anymore will be nice.

Something wild- apparently the X-Files movie I Want to Believe had a TON of stuff they cut out of it, stuff that would have made it a much darker almost horror flick. And now they're gonna air the full uncut R-rated Chris Carter director's cut version on Hulu starting August 14. It's called 'The X-Files: I Want to Believe Vrach Frankenshteyn'.
