#eosChangé le theme de lxqt pour TrelliumRC3, un thème qui va très bien avec Endeavour OS.
J'ai finalement trouvé la documentation de Sway pour les couleurs et elle se cachait... dans #i3wm , son parent #xorg . Ce qui était une évidence pour les anciens utilisateurs de i3 ne l'était pas pour moi, ok? 😆
Donc une ligne à la config et un fichier .conf rajouté plus tard, mon Sway à maintenant les couleurs de la distro.

Alors, en voulant configurer la couleur de bordure de Sway, je constate que dans les fichiers de configuration il existe un raccourci pour transformer une tuile en fenêtre standard qui flotte. Sway est aussi capable de gérer des exceptions à certaines applications qui vont s'ouvrir comme par exemple, les applications de paramétrage de lxqt.
Je cherche encore pour la couleur btw. XD
@mikeTesteLinuxQlub : au pire, il faut rajouter Steam aux exceptions dans la config. 🐧 😎

#swayPar exemple, la version Sway communautaire par Endeavour OS est belle à souhait avec #waybar , #nwg-look , #wofi et plus plus mais le tout consomme 950mib au total. Pour une session en Sway, il y en a gros! XD
En photo, vous pouvez voir que j'ai pris #lxqt , troqué le Openbox pour Sway et cela me donne 900mib.
Une vrai configuration Sway vanille est encore plus minime en ressources, c'est à vous d'y voir 😉 🐧 A+!

J'aurai dû profiter de mes vacances pour travailler plus sur mon NAS mais quand t'as besoin de te reposer hé bien... C'est un peu le but premier des vacances, non? 😺
Je vais m'y remette dessus mais je constate que même en conteneur, mon NAS va râler pour une session de serveur Valheim.
Heureusement, j'ai un serpuarien micro PC que je vais placer au-dessus du NAS qui va pouvoir rouler le server.
#sparky linux semble un bon candidat avec #lxqt ou #labwc, on verra.

Llevaba un rato intentando recuperar un portátil HP de 2019 con 4 GB de RAM. Probé primero con xfce pero la opción más ligera, muy usable y con una apariencia más que aceptable es sin duda CachyOS con escritorio lxqt.
Con firefox en primer arranque, simultaneando la edición de un documento en OnlyOffice y ejecutado el monitor del sistema consume 2GB de ram, lo que no está nada mal para un uso básico.
El escritorio base consume unos 800 MB.

With LXQt I have rediscovered the joys of screensavers !!
Questions for linux users:
1. I wonder why one no longer finds screensavers in modern OSes. Is it just a fashion thing?
2. With increasing adoption of wayland, I wonder if any replacements/lookalikes are in the works. I really hope so!
Does anyone have more info ?

I have to admit, LXQt is fast-becoming my DE of choice on linux.
My workflow is heavily GUI-based for most things and I really like how it allows using both Qt and GTK tools without breaking the UI.
The only thing I miss a lot from gnome is the ability to use emacs-like shortcuts throughout the os (mostly simple commands like C-f/b/a/e/n/p/d/k etc).
Anyone with solutions ?

I am really liking LXQt - lex-cute - desktop. The defaults are just below desirable, but with just a bit of customizing LXQt is really good.
So it is not as polished visually and features "out of the box" as Cinnamon desktop is, but it is much lighter on resources and is customizable in the ways that I'd like.
Wish I'd tried it sooner... but maybe it really hadn't found its current form until recently.

Artix by default using the Openbox window manager with LXQt instead of the xfwm4 that Devuan bundles with LXQt.
So some of the shortcut key configuration is slightly different.
Eventually, I'll get around to pairing BSPWM with LXQt, as I think that'd be fun. For right now, I'm running cortile which maximizes the windows automatically with the default I have.
For right now, I can say that LXQt is much lighter on resources than Cinnamon on the same machine. Cinnamon on Artix seemed to be much more of a resource hog than Cinnamon on Debian and Devuan based Linux systems.
But with LXQt, it just sips instead of gulps.

LXQt on Debian-based distros usually use xfwm4 instead of openbox. So increasing the number of workspaces can be done from the command line instead of a GUI setting.
xfconf-query -c xfwm4 -p /general/workspace_count -s 8
