  1. Found my old #zip drive. How big were the disks? 100mb? Still got a #syquest drive somewhere (80mb?). Even had an #LS120 drive way back. Long gone #pc #Mac #vintage #VintageElectronics

  6. Well, yesterday evening was frustrating.

After realising I had the drive set to Slave instead of Master, I tried using my "new" #LS120 dive with two USB to IDE adapters. No dice. However, it does work (albeit slowly) with an IDE to SATA adapter I borrowed from work, so at least I know the drive isn't broken.

I might try another USB adapter from Amazon, because it'll be easy to send back. It's that or I track down a crappy SFF box with a 3.5" bay and IDE.

  7. Can someone explain to me why £175 is an acceptable price for an #LS120 drive?!

What is going on with the #RetroComputing marketplace?
