In Laynair; a 'god' is an ancient alien species who's strange technology turned them into incorporeal immortals. The strongest of which can manifest physically.

Riven has chosen to represent Earth; taking the visage of a humanoid like gorgonops.

He is quiet and mostly calm and one of the gods that have chosen to help mortal species.

Riven only looks tough; he's one of the few of the ancients who's soft spoken voice pleads to help the mortals in times of need.

His name in Lanian roughly translates to 'war' his physical body has been wounded over many many years and some of the weapons people have thrown at him have been healed over and stuck to him. He could take them out easily enough but they really don't bother him enough to make the effort.
