This is another form of Strategic lawsuit against public participation ( #SLAPP ) — a lawsuit or other legal harassment designed to intimidate and silence critics, in this case out-funding the author — which precludes the prosecution of defamation cases against #TheRich and the #Powerful. We need more #LawReforms to guard against this kind of miscariage of #Justice IMO.
