"the crew found there wasn’t enough water flowing along Ginninderra Creek for their liking, even after attempts to clear debris from around a weir further upstream.
After the producers put in two requests, the ACT Government agreed to briefly open the floodgates at Lake Ginninderra on 31 January and 4 February to allow more water to reach the site."

Some bike path improvements are now complete at #LakeGinninderra #Belconnen between John Knight Memorial Park and Ginninderra Drive.
Photo shows the new concrete ramp up to the road bridge. It replaces the old steep S curved path that was very hard to go up but much fun to go down!
Although I enjoyed teaching my kids when to let go on the way down, I do concede this makes the path more appealing and safe. #Canberra

An old photo of mine from 2009, an unusual tree growing on the bank of Lake Ginninderra in Canberra. It's a taxodium, maybe taxodium distichum? not a native. The knobbly roots show up well sticking out of a carpet of fallen leaves.
