I know both of those airports very well. Reid-Hillview #KRHV was my home base when I lived in San Jose. Los Banos #KLSN was a place I frequently visited due to restaurants in walking distance from the airport, but also for one emergency diversion. Also a couple times we used LSN as a stop for chase plane operations while waiting for high-altitude Ham Radio balloons to burst and then fly to collect telemetry and search for where they fell. #aviation #pilot #avgeek

"Pilot killed in small plane crash near Los Banos; NTSB investigating" by KFSN ABC30 Fresno - C172 flight from San Jose Reid-Hillview #KRHV to Los Banos #KLSN in California's Central Valley ended in fatal crash. Pilot reported on radio that he had unresponsive control surfaces and could only circle, which he did for 3 hours until the crash. 2 other planes flew alongside to attempt assistance.
