  7. Leaving #Norway from the east en route to #Finland is one of the oddities of #geography: although one moves west, the timezone changes backwards from UTC-0200 to UTC-0300.

    Surprisingly, both #Kirkenes and #Vardø are located east of the entirety of Finland and east of Saint Petersburg. Which makes the name "Norway" a bit of an understatement as on top of being "the way to the north" it should also be considered "the way to the east".
