#OTD #Scottish #Botanist, Nicholas #Dalzell was preparing to leave #Karachi, the capital of #Sindh, #Pakistan.He sent #Plants & a #Letter to #Kew, writing:
"I'm rather #Angry [that] Dr. Hooker [said] there was no large #Forests in Sindh."Nicol saw nearly 100 forests there. Today he's remembered for #Forest #Conservation.
He studied the #Link between forests & #Rainfall. He realized #Deforestation disrupts the #Evaporation #Cycle and can lead to #Drought.
