CW: Death Penalty
#KennethSmith was scheduled to be executed by the state of Alabama but was granted a stay by the 11th circuit, lately due to the state’s proven ineptitude in carrying out executions. #SCOTUS lifted the stay with no explanation. And in an entirely predictable result, Alabama botched Smith’s execution as well. Below is from Smith’s brief which convincingly showed Alabama cannot and should not be permitted to carry out the #DeathPenalty.
