I'm reminded of the best/worst Tornado story.
A guy I know is coming back from Oklahoma with his two under 5 year old kids. Tornado warning with twisters on the ground in his general vicinity. Pulls into the first building off the highway.
It's an adult novelty aka porn store.
His story is fantastic because it's "do I risk us dying on the road to try to make it to the next possible shelter vs do I make my wife try to explain why her husband and kids were in a porn shop when they got swept away by a tornado"

Oh hello snow. Yesterday I thought about turning the AC on. Today I am wearing an extra sweater. #kcwx

So with the tornado warning issued for my part of #KansasCity I'm conflicted. Because it is fantastic that I am receiving texts, voice and they even called the landline (I'm ancient) to make sure I was aware of the conditions.

But I have no idea what my "Alert KC profile" is. I didn't sign up for any such thing so I got that going for me and my data privacy.
The texts offer me an unsubscribe option by clicking a link to some sketchy ass domain I've never heard of evbg dot co #KCWX

@User47 Hey JL, jump in the Subaru** and head over to KMCI. I just flew my #XPlane #flightsim Dash 8-400 in there from Cleveland (KCLE). BTW, I love the round terminal buildings!

Yeah, a bit sporty on the RNAV approach. Tower turned me hard to FAF only 5NM from the fence, got blown around pretty good, runway 9 was slippery as all get out...anti-skid brake system worked to perfection.
