Day 5 of Monsoon Beauty

After a few lean days, in the city, work, & life, it was a delight to see this Ocellated Shield Bug (Cantao ocellatus) generically in Family Scutelleridae - jewel bugs & or shield-backed bugs.

My big eyes were draw to the black and yellow "ocellus" on a bright orange top.

Presence of many of these bugs indicates monsoons, so 1 bug means what ? just clouds.

Nymphs of the Mangrove Jewel Bug (Calliphara nobilis) spotted at the mangrove area of Admiralty Park, Singapore, on 2 June 2024. They look very different when in adult form, but both forms are equally shiny and pretty.

A Jewel Bug, genus Chrysocoris, spotted at the Lornie Park Connector, Singapore, on 14 April 2024. There are a few of them moving about the plant. I think they look very pretty.
