Few notes from #ISC23 day 1:

Updates on Aurora from ALCF show that progress is being made, and that of the expected 10624 nodes, 10k+ have been delivered.

Also of interest is that originally the blades shipped with "normal" Xeons, but 75% have since been upgraded to Xeon Max (the models with 64GBs of on CPU HBM2e) with the rest being installed currently.

Unfortunately no Green500 submission for the Sunspot test system, but it sounds like we're getting a 3.1 Eflops RMax in time for #SC23

He identifies and shows how to overcome an OpenMP bottleneck in the administration of GPU memory

It will be held on the Ground Floor of Hall 4 in the Research Paper Session on Applications and GPU, led by Kengo Nakajima.
