5 Jahre #IONIQ5 - ein schonungsloser Bericht - und ein Fazit!

Seit fünf Jahren fahre ich den #Hyundai #IONIQ 5 in der #First #Edition Version P45. In meinem heutigen Bericht zum fünfjährigen Jubiläum berichte ich über alles was mir letztes Jahr so mit dem Auto passiert ist. Schonungslos und ungefiltert. Dabei so realistisch wie möglich ohne Geschrei und Panikmache. Es gibt wie so oft eine Menge nützlicher Tipps und Hinweise.

@paco Sorry to say it, but looks like you did fall for the wrong brand of EV.
Our #hyundai #ioniq5 easily fast charges multiple times a day on road trips.
Just one example of our charging during our last vacation. The limitation to max 230kW was only because we had to share the charge station.

Knapp 1000 KM mit dem #ioniq5 mit 3 Ladestopps. Jeder Stopp ca 15 Minuten. Mit der Ladekurve macht das einfach Spaß.

When we traded our old car for the Ioniq 5, our well traveled "dinosaurs" moved to the new dash. But the new car can generate G-forces the old Optima could only imagine. In an accelerating curve, Chonk (Ankylosaurus, rear) can be flung across the dash like a hand grenade. Still they have been over 20K miles with us, and they will continue their travels with us indefinitely.

The widely-reported death of the electric vehicle market may be premature. Developments in the used market (where we just bought our first EV, a 2024 Hyundai Ioniq 5) show that all the traditional rules that apply to petro-cars go out the window. Batteries are on older vehicles are NOT declining the way initially predicted, and there are plenty of good used vehicles to be found at good prices (compared to new). Loving our car.

Why haven't Hyundai used the Ioniq5 's wonderful design language in any other models? The Ioniq5 is their best selling EV in the US, in fact it's the best selling EV of any brand except Tesla. It's been for sale for five years, more than enough time to introduce sibling models.

The 73% problem was caused by the #Bluelink app. When the app is logged out, I don’t have that problem. It charges to 80% as requested. I seldom start/use the app because of the charging problem. Perhaps the problem is already solved, I just don’t know. I always use the timer in my #ioniq5 , from 22:30 to 6:00.

My driving is mostly short distances (<20km) at slow speed (<70km/h, large parts <50km/h). The consumption is now (summer, warm) 11-12 kwh/100km.

@thorsten die Frage ist ja, was ist lange? Bei mir hat er nie länger als 1-2 Tage die 100% soc.

Mir hat mal ein Batterieexperte von Philips erklärt, dass man nicht ständig auf 100% gehen soll, und nicht länger als 3-4 Tage. 1x die Woche, 1-2 Tage sei vertretbar.

Meinen ersten #Ioniq5 hatte ich 3 Jahre, 140.000km und auf die gleiche Art und Weise geladen. Bei Rückgabe hatte der Akku 94,6% soh.

Es ist wirklich absurd, wie effizient sich unser großer Stromer im Sommer in der Stadt und auf moderaten Autobahnfahrten bewegen lässt. Der #Ioniq5 nimmt sich momentan zwischen 12,5 und 13kWh auf 100km. Zu Hause kosten mich 100km aktuell 1€ 😱

Selbst am HPC (hab Abo) wären es unter 5€.

ich hatte mal einen Smart, mit dem bin ich im Schnitt mit 2,8l/100km gefahren. Selbst damit würde das heute mehr kosten. Und der smart war nur halb so groß 🤯

98% SoH. (Ist für das Auto noch ein Earlybird-Test)
Der inertiale Test vor einem Jahr: 100% SoH
Mal sehen wie das in einem Jahr aussieht.

Heute wieder die Erinnerung, dass man ältere #KIA bzw. #Hyundai nicht kaufen sollte, wenn man keine Garage hat (bzw. warum mutmaßlich die Versicherungsprämien so hoch sind)

#Ioniq5 (BJ 2023) von meinem Chef wurde geklaut. Da hat der “Gameboy” wohl mal wieder ein Opfer gefunden.

#Ioniq5 heißt, dass man selbst mit nem fast 5 Jahre alten Auto noch aufm Parkplatz angequatscht wird - und technisch immer noch mithalten kann 😁

Und dank PV auf dem Dach habe ich unseren #Ioniq5 rein mit PV-Überschuss geladen. 77kWh für ca. 6€, ca. 1,10€/100km. Jetzt läuft die schöne Jahreszeit 🥰

Diesen Monat bisher 2000km gefahren, geladen ca. 380kWh (inkl. ladeverluste), davon 355 zu Hause mit PV-Überschuss. Stromkosten für die 2000km ca. 40€.

Oh well. We just had a power outage in #OceanShores #WA #GHPUD and @czds and I had put the Anker Home Power Panel “Time of Use” settings back to our normal “charge after midnight” and then run our home off the batteries during the day down to 20%. I’ll disconnect one of the batteries and charge it from our #Ioniq5 using #V2L

Paying $6.34/gal #gas to fill up the service center loaner hurts more when you're used to paying barely anything.

My old (now daughter's) #subaru Legacy fell victim to the cam carrier leak flaw, and when i brought it in, i had to get the loaner under my name. Which meant I had to drive the loaner to/from work instead of my #ioniq5. Which, with the price of gas nowadays, SUCKED.

Anyway, nightmare over, I get to drive my #ev again. phew

My daughter's car goes into the shop and somehow i get stuck with the shitty gas-powered loaner and my wife gets to drive my #ioniq5.

Let me tell you what it's like to live both feet planted in the future, then unexpectedly getting yanked back to century-old, rattly, stinky tech. And with these #trumpwar gas prices! IT SUCKS

Einfache Strecke 50km (35 BAB, Rest Stadt). Temperaturen 6°-10°, trocken alles mit Winterreifen auf #Ioniq5
Über 4 Tage je Geschwindigkeit (ca. 8h und 19h) Der Max. Speed von -
Langsam: 100 bis 110
Mittel: 120 bis 130
Schnell: 150 bis 160
bzw. was durch Verkehrsregelung erlaubt war.
