I've recently learned that #Invisalign is a company with close ties to Israel. Much to my shame I had already paid 100s of euros to get started down the road for their use for my daughter. I regret not checking it out sooner. There are alternatives, though I would have to have fought with the dentist to get them.
Just in case anyone else could do with that info.
I now give a quick search for every company I'm thinking of doing a significant spend with.

Creo que cuando termine con las movidas dentales me pondré a viajar. Con lo que me va a costar el #invisalign y el implante me da para viajar por toda Europa ida-vuelta.

Pues hoy comienzo oficialmente la segunda tanda de #Invisalign. Esta vez son 25 férulas y me han puesto dos botones. Supongo que las gomas van a volver :ains: .

First full day of Invisalign. This sucks as bad as having braces when I was young did. And I had a big-anxiety moment yesterday of "if I can't hack this easy-mode crap, how am I gonna handle any of the other modifications I want to make?"
But, y'know, it's the Year of Jessification (ongoing, may not align with calendar year). This sucks. Other things might suck. At the end I will have the body I've wanted for a very long time.

Anyone else start to feel weird after they removed your anchors? Like breathing and swallowing anchor dust might cause a (hopefully) temporary neurological condition?I was flattered when the doctor gave me a bottle of wine as a congratulations but then later when my hands were shaking I wondered if he was hoping I would have blamed the wine for my condition (had I drank it)

If you're thinking about doing #Invisalign or a similar clear aligners system to improve your teeth, you should absolutely do it if the cost isn't prohibitive to you.
I just finished a 16 month treatment cycle. I declined it for years because I thought it was just a cosmetic procedure.
It's more than that. I've had a lifetime of somewhat bad dental and gum health and both have improved in the past year as my teeth straightened out.
The discomfort wasn't too bad. I only took pain killers a couple of days in my 16 months of treatment and only 3-4 days a month on average were uncomfortable. The first 2 months were the worst.
The main drawback is it makes eating out awkward and snacking difficult. Given Covid, the former wasn't an issue for me, but you can't eat with them on so if you graze throughout the day, it'll be a major inconvenience.
I wish I had done this years ago.
