Vivaldi in Venice - Performed by Intepreti Veneziani
A live-cut double-album set of Vivaldi pieces, played in Venice at the San Vidal church. Where by live-cut I mean it was cut to lacquer directly from the live tape recording.
It's a lovely sounding LP, with lots of hall ambience and spirited, sensitive playing by the Interpreti Veneziani group. Now I wish I had heard them when I was last in Venice…I'll certainly do so next time.
