Some young guy approached me on FetLife with an out-of-the-blue message without a title and going:
"Hey!"
Well, if you cannot state why you are contacting me, why should I want to talk to you?

(It is really not hard to approach me. I had someone who speaks Spanish approach me on Delta Chat yesterday. We had a nice chat, mostly in Spanish. The difference is that this person did not just go "Hey!" They told me how they got my contact info, etc. You know... a modicum of information.)
