Last night @Palegingerette and I watched I Heard The Bells; a film that was shown last year going over the life of Henry Wadsworth Longfellow near the time he wrote the Christmas carol.
It was a pretty powerful movie. It was about grief and hope. Several moments made me cry (on account of being a dad myself) and there was a really good feeling by the end of it. I definitely recommend you watch it.
