Recently discovered cold water therapy. I refuse to call it ice bath cus it not ice, it’s not even ice cold!
But anyway, I’m seriously impressed by the effects. My knees are shit from years of bike riding/crashing etc. most days I end up in pain and often have disturbed sleep because they ache. But since getting a cheap #coldwatertherapy bath from Lidl and using it daily the improvement have been massive.

20°C and sauna is just over 90°C. When you are steaming when you step out in this summer weather you know it is a good sauna day. Going to put a bit more wood in the stove and push it to 100° now that my son is done with sauna.
I need to buy some bags of ice or make a lot more blocks of ice to cool my cold plunge though. Even with the rain yesterday the tank water isn’t cold enough at all

🏊♀️Vltava má přes 8 stupňů a je to znát (jakože už fakt osvěžující).
Plavala jsem 13 minut a šlo by to v pohodě dál.

Poctivě se otužuju, tentokrát mimo Prahu. Krásných 5 stupňů, sezóna už se přibližuje svému konci.
Po ukončení sezóny bude rekapitulace, zatím ale poctivě každý týden bez vynechání od října.

So I'm at the #ServiceOntario #today with the PT (petulant/precocious teenager) getting his provincial health card renewed. The wonderful lady says "Well, now that you're 16, I have to ask you whether you'd like to be a organ donor?"
I knew there would be a pause (its a hefty decision), but it stretched further than anticipated, until I realized: "no no" I said, "she means when or if you DIE accidentally". We all laughed (him with relief) and he said yes.

I have cold shower every day plus the winter swimming on Sunday.
Oh wait! I am going to check out something new in the middle pf week - the newly created bath in Letna.

Tento týden jsem byla ve vodě - studená sprcha nebo sud - každý den.
Subjektivně mám pocit, že se to vyplatilo a plavání bylo obzvlášť příjemný.

To je ale počasí. Teplota vody v sudu na balkóně je skoro stejná jako studená sprcha. Takže dneska bez sudu, ale studená sprcha.
